Elderly Union County woman, missing four days, found alive Saturday afternoon

Jo Ann Decker, a 67-year-old Union County woman missing since Tuesday, Nov. 22, was found alive Saturday afternoon, Nov. 26.

Union County Emergency Management Director Curt Clayton told NEMiss.News Decker was found near County Road 101 early Saturday afternoon. She had last been seen walking in the 1000 block of County Road 100 shortly after noon on Tuesday.

She was found not far from her home west of Ingomar.

The Union County Sheriff’s Department and Union County Emergency Management had issued a Silver Alert for Decker four days ago. This was the second time in a month a Silver Alert had been issued for Decker. She was reported missing Nov. 5, but was found the next day in Itawamba County.

Clayton said Decker was conscious when found and was transported to Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union County.
