Emergency personnel respond to accident on Hwy. 15

Emergency crews were dispatched to Hwy. 15 North and Sam Barkley Drive for a two-vehicle MVA involving an 18-wheeler just after noon Monday, according to Acting Fire Chief Mark Whiteside. Upon arrival crews found one person trapped in the SUV, he said. Crews removed the driver door and assisted with removal of the person. Patient care was turned over to BMH-Union County emergency crews with what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries, Whiteside said.
