Ernesteen Speck Roberts

December 3, 1929 – March 30, 2019

Ernesteen Speck Roberts passed away Saturday, March 30, 2019 at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. She was born December 3, 1929 in Union County to Ernest L. Speck and Bonnie Lee Sample Speck.

Ernesteen was the owner of Blue Rose Antiques and a retired dental assistant. She was especially talented in flower gardening, were she grew many flowers but the daylilies were exceptional. She was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Shirley Boyd Roberts; one daughter, Robbie Duckworth (Glenn) of Myrtle; one sister, Thelma Smithey (Bill) of New Albany; and a granddaughter, Dr. Savannah Duckworth of Jackson, MS.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Bruce Carlton “Bud” Speck and a sister, Bonnie Jean Speck Latham Dove.

Pallbearers will be Brandon Roberts, Casey Roberts, Jarrett Roberts and Mark Gilliland.

Visitation will be Monday, April 1, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
