Eva Hadley Brenson, 75
October 13, 1949 – November 25, 2024
BELDEN – A Godly woman, Eva Hadley Brenson met her Lord and Savior on Monday, November 25, 2024, from the North Miss. Medical Center Hospice Unit. She was 75 years old. Eva was born in Tupelo on October 13, 1949, to the late George Leonard Hadley and Lugenia Howell Hadley. She grew up and lived her whole life in Lee County where she worked for Reed’s Manufacturing for over 20 years before owning and operating her own childcare facility. At her retirement, she was working for Creative Kids Day Care. Although there were no children born to her union in marriage with West Lee Brenson, she had numerous nieces and nephews whom she adored and doted over, especially her great-niece Mya. Eva was church-centered all her life and was deeply involved in the ministries of three churches, Chapel Grove Holiness Church, Holy Temple in Pontotoc County, and One Nation Church of the Living God (Springhill District Building). A very independent lady, Eva centered her life on God and Church and was always encouraging the young people of all the churches she was a member of. She encouraged church attendance by young people. She was a Deaconette, often took the youth on trips and camps where her spiritual heart always was, and even sang in a gospel group known as the Spiritual True Lights. Eva loved to travel with her late husband, West Lee, enjoyed good perfumes always smelling good, and collecting purses.
A Service of Celebration for a life well lived will take place at 1 PM Saturday, November 30, 2024 from the Springhill District Building with Bishop Danny Leonard Howell officiating. Burial will follow at Porter’s Memorial Park. Visitation will take place on Friday, November 29, 2024 in the Sadie Holland Memorial Chapel at Holland Funeral Directors in Tupelo and from Noon-service time on Saturday at the Springhill District Building. Holland Funeral Directors is honored to serve the family.
Eva is survived by her brother, Adolphus Hadley (Mildred) of Tupelo, and sister, Catherine Clemons of Belden; godson Will Hadley; and numerous nieces and nephews whom she adored and helped to raise. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Lugenia Hadley; and her husband, West Lee Brenson, who died Feb. 22, 2021.
The life of a faithful soul neither dims nor dies. Aunt Eva will always be a source of strength for those whom she touched in her 75 years.
