Evelyn Westmoreland Adams, 74
November 28, 1951 – May 9, 2026
Verona-Evelyn Fay Westmoreland Adams laid down her armor and crossed over Jordan from North Miss. Medical Center in Tupelo after a year long battle with cancer. Evelyn was the widow of Hayward Adams and the mother of 5 girls; Carin Franks, Sherry Ellis, Andrea Stanley, Tracey Greer and Angela who was stillborn. She was a determined soul who knew the great challenges of life and overcome all odds with the help of her Lord and Savior, in which she totally trusted. A member of the Verona Church of God of Prophecy, she spent the last 10 plus years as the Dietician at First Baptist Church-Tupelo where she was loved and appreciated by the entire Church membership.
A celebration of her life will take place at 2 PM Tuesday, May 12, 2026 in the Sadie Holland Memorial Chapel at Holland Funeral Directors-Tupelo with Sis Margaret Browning and Bro. Phillip Carr assisting. Burial will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Pontotoc Co. Visitation will be from 5 PM-7P M Monday, May 11, 2026 and from Noon-service time all at Holland Funeral Directors-Tupelo, which is honored to be serving their friends.
