Frankie Glenn “Peel” Hopkins, 60

September 2, 1965 – October 29, 2025

Frankie Glenn Hopkins, known by most as “Glenn” and by many affectionately as “Peel,” entered into his Heavenly Home and was joyfully welcomed by his beloved wife, Lori, on the morning of Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at his home.

Funeral Services honoring Mr. Glenn’s life will be at 11 AM, Sunday, November 2, 2025, at Charity Church of Jesus Christ, with Bro. Watson and Bro. Porterfield officiating. Visitation will be Saturday evening, November 1, from 5 PM until 9 PM at the church, and will continue Sunday morning from 9 AM until time of service. Burial will follow in Hopkins Cemetery.

Born on September 2, 1965, in Tippah County, Mr. Glenn was the son of the late Homer Travis and Lena Mae Brown Hopkins. He was educated in the Falkner School System. While horseback riding one day, he crossed paths with the love of his life, Lori Lee Humbers, and the two began a beautiful journey together. They were married on May 20, 1994, and made their home in the Walnut Community, where their door was always open, and laughter was often heard echoing through the walls.

Mr. Glenn spent fifteen years employed with Abby Manufacturing, A devoted and diligent worker, he took great pride in his job and was respected by everyone who knew him. His coworkers will remember not only his strong work ethic but also his constant jokes and the joy he brought to every day.

Glenn lived life with a genuine joy that was contagious. He was the spark of any gathering, quick with a grin and never shy to show off a dance move or two — proudly claiming he was “too sexy for his body.” From his younger years at the VFW to family get-togethers in later days, Glenn could turn any moment into one filled with laughter and light. He had a deep love for classic country music, always tuned in to 104.9, and found peace in the great outdoors — whether he was riding horses, fishing the pond banks, or hunting in the woods.

Above all else, Mr. Glenn’s heart belonged to his family. He adored his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and found his greatest joy in the time spent with them — sharing stories, advice, and endless love. His dear wife, Lori, truly held his heart, and it brings comfort to all who loved him to imagine them reunited once again — healed, happy, hand in hand, dancing on the streets of gold and worshiping together at the feet of their Savior, Jesus Christ.

Though his earthly journey has ended, his laughter, love, and light will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew him. This is not goodbye, but simply “see you later.”

Memories will continue to be cherished by four sons, James Murry Bates, and his wife, Leah, Coty Hopkins and his wife, Haley, Travis “Trave” Hopkins and his wife, Ashley, and Justin Cody Crook, two sisters, Wanda Bryant(Richard), and Christie Hopkins, two brothers, Freddie Hopkins and Dewayne Hopkins (Teresa), with a very special friend he thought of as a brother Phillip “Butterbean” Bates, thirteen grandchildren, four great grandchildren with one on the way, and a wide circle of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Lori Hopkins.

Pallbearers will be Bo Mays, Philip “Butterbean” Bates, Robbie Hopkins, Michael Crum, Gary Lee Humbers, and Seven King, with Mark Hunt serving as an Honorary pallbearer.
