Free seniors health fair and workshop offered

New Albany MS free seniors health fair and workshop

There will be a free health fair and info workshop for senior citizens and their families. Three Rivers Area Agency on Aging, North Mississippi Rural Legal Services, and Ms. Annie Erby with Magnolia Recreation and Resource Center have all partnered together to organize this event.

The event will be held Wednesday, September 18th from 9 am to 12 pm at the Magnolia Recreation and Resource Center (307 Wilson Street, New Albany, MS); free and open to the public.

The theme of the program is healthy aging, and a series of 20-30 minute speakers will discuss topics like Medicare, fraud prevention, good nutrition, Alzheimer’s and dementia, hospice care, advance health care directives and living wills, and what free community resources are available for the elderly and the disabled.

There will also be a health fair on site and free lunch too. This will be a fun and educational event for the whole community, and especially the elderly, their caregivers, and families.

Questions can be directed to Stephanie at scgobert@go.olemiss.edu or Al Cutturini at 662-234-2918, ext. 2119.
