Ellen Gale Beckworth Evans, 78, of Myrtle, Mississippi, passed away on Monday, November 17, 2025, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union County.

She was born on June 9, 1947, in New Albany, Mississippi, to Van Gale Beckworth and Byrdie Carnell Beckworth. Gale spent most of her life in Myrtle, where she was known for her warm spirit and devotion to her family. She was an avid fan of Utah Jazz basketball team and particularly admired Karl Malone.

She was preceded in death by her parent, Van Gale and Byrdie Carnell Beckworth: brother, La’Mond Beckworth; sister, Lane Andrews; daughter, Shelia Evans Page; granddaughter, Destini Nikolette Evans-Page, and a nephew, Joseph Andrews.

Gale is survived by her loving husband, Glen Evans of Myrtle; son Michael Evans of Myrtle; two granddaughters, Jeana Jennings and Baylee Evans, both of Etta; six great-great grandchildren: Jackson Wilson of Etta, Harper Pannell of New Albany, Gray Jennings of Myrtle, and Silas Spraldin, Atlas Pannell, and Cooper Evans all of Etta. Nephews; Brandon Beckworth of New Albany, Mark Cruse (Candy) of Potts Camp, Sean and Jeremy Evans of Holly Springs, and Michael Andrews (Kathy) of Utah; a niece, Patti Coggins (Gary) of Delaware; cousin, Martha Cook and best friend, Janice Moody.
