Gale Franks, 80
November 8, 1944 – April 8, 2025
MOOREVILLE – Mrs. Patricia “Gale” Donald Franks, 80, died Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at her residence surrounded by her loved ones. She was born November 8, 1944 in the Ballardsville community to Curtis Jack Donald and Eunice Gray Donald. She married James Roger Franks, Sr. on July 4, 1970, and they shared 54 years of happiness and sorrow together, rearing five children, Jamie Franks, Jr. Esq., David Beasley (deceased), Sonya Beasley (deceased), Chelsea Colbert, and Pam Martin.
Gale was a longtime member of Tupelo Church of God, being close to Bro. Jack and Sister Ezell. She was a lab assistant in quality control employed by Daybrite Lighting Company for thirty-seven years.
She was a wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and dear friend. She was the lady that could find a deal whether it was a yardsale or department store. The lady that spent hours in her shop fixing and cutting hair including her own. She worked in the garden and made the best meals. She could sew anything and would embroidery whatever you wanted. She loved a good pedicure and always had her toenails painted and lipstick on. Most importantly she loved our Heavenly Father and loved like Jesus! She loved her family and took care of them wholeheartedly!
A celebration of her life and home-going will be at 2 PM, Monday, April 14, 2025, at Tupelo Church of God with Pastor Judd Vowell officiating. Burial will follow in Keyes Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 12 noon to service time at the church.
Survivors include her husband, Roger Franks, Sr. of Mooreville; son, Jamie Franks, Jr., Esq; daughters, Chelsea Cobert (Will) and Pam Martin, all of Mooreville; grandchildren, Shae Lachowicz (Patryk), Andrew Ratliff (Kara), Shawna Rose-Beasley (James), Chelsea Colbert (Will), Jase Franks, and Nick Franks; great-grandchildren, Kiley, Viola, Nico, Kaden, Ava, Lilly and Kip Hankins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Curtis and Eunice Donald; children, David Beasley and Sonya Beasley; siblings, Francis Moore, Earline Sanders, Imogene McCullough, G. Hoyt Donald, Burma Lee, Jonell McDaniel, Carolyn Mauldin, Linda Ramsey, Ray Donald, and an infant brother. The family expresses a sincere thank you to Lacy Brasel, Lisa Platz and Helen Britt, as well the community for your love and support during her illness.
Pallbearers will be Will Colbert, Jase Franks, Nick Franks, Bill Lowery, Jr. Eddie Wayne McDaniel, and Johnny Mauldin; honorary pallbearers will be Billy Young, all her nephews, Herbert “Yogi” Weaver, Perry Franks, Terry Guest, Francisco Lopez, and Geastou Santos.
