Gene Harmon, 60

Mr. Gene Harmon, 60, transitioned on Saturday, July 23, 2022, at his sister’s home, in Waterford, MS.

Mr. Gene Harmon, Sr., was born May 26, 1962, to the late Jessie Calliutt and Geneva Harmon. He enjoyed farming, and spending time with family.  He was a big San Francisco 49ers Football Fan.

He departed from this earthly home Saturday, July 23, 2022.

Gene Harmon, Sr., leaves to cherish his memory two sons: Gene Harmon, Jr. of Holly Springs, MS and Gerodrick Harmon of Laws Hill, MS, three daughters: Jaleza Reed of Potts Camp, MS, Cecilla Reed of Memphis, TN, and Kayla Reed of Potts Camp, MS; six brothers: Robert Wilson of Chicago, IL, Tommy Boyd of Tupelo, MS, Roger Harmon, Sr. of Laws Hill, MS, Luther Harmon of Waterford, MS, Jerry Hill and Ruffis Hill, both of Como, MS; four sisters: Jimmie Helen Boyd of Chicago, IL, Rosemary Coleman of Waterford, MS, Dorothy Lesure of Potts Camp, MS, and Geraldine Howell of Laws Hill, MS; 16 Grandchildren, and a host of nieces, and nephews who cared deeply for him. He also leaves cousins and many friends and loved ones.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers Chester Lee Morning, Crawford Wilson, and Willie Hill .

Visitation will be held Friday, July 29, 2022,  3:00 PM until 6:00 PM, at New Community Church, 230 N. Memphis St, Holly Springs, MS.

Service will be held Saturday, July 30, 2022, at 11:00 AM, Free Springs CM.E. Church, CR 511, Harmontown, MS.

Burial will follow at Free Springs C.M.E. Church Cemetery in Harmontown, MS.
