He graduated from Hickory Flat High School and then attended William R. Moore School of Technology Memphis, graduating in 1961 as a Diesel Mechanic with continuing education throughout his career. George was a storyteller and a prankster. His fun stories and memories never ended. After retirement, he loved visiting friends and “catching up” at the local coffee shop, Christy’s Truck Stop. He loved traveling throughout America, visiting many states over his lifetime. He attended the Texas State Fair in Dallas for many years, always visiting his cousins in the Allen family nearby.

He is survived by his wife, Kathy Hall Wicker, stepson, Joseph Hodges (Hernando, MS), step-grandson, Alec Hodges (Hernando), and a host of cousins in the Wicker, Boatwright, and Allen families. He was preceded in death by his parents.
