Give your special Valentine a magical evening in downtown New Albany

New Albany, MS– Bring your special Valentine, or a whole family of them, to Downtown New Albany Valentine’s night. There will be special deals at downtown restaurants, magic at The Basement, and the charming setting of Downtown New Albany.

While the list of participating restaurants is still growing, the following restaurants have confirmed that they will be open on the night of Tuesday, November 14^th: The Tallahatchie Gourmet, Bankhead Bicycle Club, Deco Restaurant + Bar and Ciao Chow. Each restaurant will have dinner specials that evening.

In addition to the hometown dining options, The Basement, an events venue located in the basement underneath Ciao Chow will be hosting two family-friendly magic shows by magician/illusionist, Michael Clayton, out of Memphis. Clayton is returning to New Albany after performing at the New Albany Rotary Club’s Christmas party this past December. Attendees at the party called the show a “home run” and found it very entertaining.

The shows will run in conjunction with downtown dining: there will be an early show at 6:30 pm and a later show at 8:00 pm. Show producers say that the timing is so that “folks can come downtown, catch a show and then grab dinner, or grab dinner and then catch a show. We hope to have a fun night for everyone that doesn’t keep people out too late on a Tuesday night.”

Purchase your tickets to the magic show in advance, online at The Basement’s Facebook page, or at the door the night of the show. Tickets for the first show are $10 and tickets for the later show are $15. “The lesser ticket price for the first show is meant to accommodate families, as a number of people have asked about bringing children, which is completely appropriate,” say the producers.
