Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, from 2 PM until the time of service in the Memory Chapel of New Albany Funeral and Cremation Care. Burial will follow in Vista Memorial Park in New Albany.

Born on September 21, 1952, to the late James Thomas Jumper and Mildred Louise Nolan Jumper, Allen was a man who truly knew how to enjoy life and make others smile.  He was an active member of Old Oak Grove Baptist Church and received his education from Myrtle Attendance Center.

Allen spent is life working with his hands as a self-employed carpenter, and there wasn’t much he couldn’t build or fix.  But more than that, he built a life centered around laughter, storytelling, and time spent with the people he loved most.  If you knew Allen, you knew he loved to talk, whether it was telling a good joke, sharing a story, or just passing time with a friend.

He had a love for music and enjoyed playing the drums, often bringing joy and rhythm wherever he was.  He also enjoyed traveling, with a special place in his heart for the Smoky Mountains, and he never turned down a trip to Tunica.

But above all else, Allen’s greatest joy in life was his family.  He loved deeply and proudly, especially when it came to his “grandbabies,” who meant the world to him.  His presence, his laughter, and his love will be missed more than words can express.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 19 years, Debra Butler Jumper; one daughter, Sherry Hall (Randy) of Myrtle; two sons, Glenn Allen Jumper, Jr. and Steve Jumper (Brandy), both of Myrtle; two brothers, David Jumper and Randy Jumper; six grandchildren, Steve Allen Jumper, Jr. (Breanna), Hart Brandon Jumper (Callie), Austin Clinton Hall, Madisyn Sky Hall, Braxton Cole Jumper, and Scottie Vanzant; four great-grandbabies, Declan Jax Jumper, Dean Matthew Jumper, Mary Jane Timms, and Addicus Smith; stepchildren, Justin Butler (Nicole), Dustin Butler, and Laken Butler; step-grandchildren, Kylee Stanley, Korbin Stanley, Zachery Butler, Zayleigh Butler, and Houston Butler; the mother of his children, Glenda Jumper, along with a host of dear friends, and his three special canine companions, Holly, Baby, and Tippy.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, James Jumper, Dennis Jumper, Ray Hugh Jumper, and Charlie Jumper; and one sister, Dolly Robbins.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Steve Jumper, Jr., Hart Jumper, Austin Hall, Braxton Jumper, Scottie Vanzant, and Justin Butler. Honorary pallbearer will be Dustin Butler.

Though our hearts are heavy, we find comfort in the many memories he leaves behind, the laughter, the stories, the lessons, and most of all, the love.  Allen’s legacy will live on in the lives he touched and the family he cherished so deeply.
