Gloria Ann Hatchett Fleming, 64

December 31, 1961 – June 1, 2026

Gloria Ann Hatchett Fleming, age 64, peacefully departed this earthly life and entered into her Heavenly Home on Monday, June 1, 2026, at Saint Thomas Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee.

A gathering of family and friends to celebrate and remember Mrs. Gloria’s life will be held on Sunday, June 21, 2026. Friends and loved ones are invited to gather from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM, with a special time of sharing memories and remarks beginning at 2:00 PM as those who loved her reflect on the beautiful life she lived and the lasting impact she made on so many hearts.

Born on December 13, 1961, in Lee County, Mississippi, Gloria was the beloved daughter of Mrs. Annice Cannon and the late Lou Thomas Hatchett. She received her education through the Tupelo Public School System and spent much of her working career as a waitress and social coordinator throughout Mississippi and portions of the Chicago area. On July 20, 1999, she married the love of her life, Mr. Rory Fleming, and together they shared many years filled with love, companionship, laughter, and cherished memories.

A devoted Christian, Mrs. Gloria’s greatest joy in life was her family. She possessed a radiant spirit, a beautiful smile, and a heart that welcomed everyone she met. Her warmth and kindness had a way of making others feel valued, appreciated, and loved. Whether spending time with family, sharing stories with friends, or simply enjoying life’s everyday blessings, Gloria found joy in the people around her.

She was a devoted wife, a loving mother, a treasured daughter, a proud big sister, and a special aunt to all of her nieces and nephews. She was also a cherished grandmother whose grandchildren held a special place in her heart. Nothing brought her more happiness than loving and spoiling her grandbabies. She found beauty in the simple things—capturing breathtaking skies through photographs, admiring God’s creation, and making memories with those she loved most.

Though her family grieves her absence deeply, they do not sorrow without hope. They find comfort in knowing that Gloria has been made whole, free from pain and suffering, and now rests safely in the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Her life was a testimony of love, strength, faith, and compassion, and her memory will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who knew her.

Those left to cherish her precious memory include her beloved husband, Rory Fleming; her mother, Mrs. Annice Cannon; her daughter, Shtina Partlow; her sons, Orking Gilbert (Erika) and Caleb M. Hatchett; her sisters, Vanessa Copeland and Angelene Ledbetter (Tony); eleven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; three aunts; three uncles; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends whose lives were forever enriched by her love.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Sonya Partlow; her grandson, Demontae Partlow; her grandparents, Esther Mae and Leslie Cannon; and three beloved uncles.

“The woods are lovely, dark and deep,
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.”

As we say goodbye for now, we can almost hear Gloria saying the words she always did, not “goodbye,” but “See ya.” Though her chair may now sit empty and her voice be silent on this side of Heaven, her love, laughter, and beautiful spirit will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

So sleep on, Gloria, and take your well-earned rest. We will cherish the memories, hold tight to the love you gave so freely, and look forward to that glorious day when, by God’s grace, we will hear those familiar words once again:

“See ya.”
