Summer Clean Sweep cancelled due to heat advisory
Coordinator Emily Draffen has cancelled the Summer Clean Sweep cleanup project scheduled for Saturday.
The cancellation came because the city is under a heat advisory that is possibly going to be upgraded to a warning.
Draffen said the event will be rescheduled for later in the fall with a date to be announced.
This is the first time a city-wide cleanup has been scheduled on a quarterly basis; it has been done annually as part of the Keep America Beautiful program in the past.
