Hobson wins honorable mention in Groundbreaking MS art contest

Drew Hobson, a 5th grade student at New Albany Elementary School, received honorable mention for his drawing of B.B. King in the fourth through seventh grade category of the state-wide 2017 Groundbreaking Mississippi Art Contest:  Mississippi’s Creative Spirit sponsored by the Mississippi Department of Archives and History.

Students were asked to submit artwork depicting who they believe is the most important artist, performer, writer, or musician in Mississippi history.
