Hollis Wayne Adair, 91
Hollis Wayne Adair, 91, lifelong resident of Tippah County, passed away peacefully Thursday February 9, 2023, at his residence following an extended illness.
A Graveside Service will be 11 AM, Monday February 13, 2023, in Tippah Memorial Gardens with Bro. Shawn Davis officiating.
Born February 7, 1932, in Tippah County, Mr. Adair was the son of the late Earnest Earl and Virtie Lee Chism Adair, and he received his education from Dumas School. In his earlier years he was employed as a factory worker and worked in maintenance for seven years with the Tippah County Hospital before his retirement.
A Christian, Mr. Adair found much pleasure being outdoors. When the sun was out and the weather was nice, he could be found fishing, hunting, and on the go. If his scooter was parked and he was gone, his family knew he was on his four-wheeler and riding in the woods. A loving man with a caring heart, Mr. Adair was blessed with a delightful personality. He doted on his children and grandchildren every chance he got and was in his “happy place” when surrounded by them. Mr. Adair was a ray of sunshine, and his long life of love and laughter will be his lasting legacy.
Those left to cherish his memories include one son, Gary Adair (Ann) of Ripley and two grandchildren, Vincent Adair and Lisa Noe, both of Ripley.
He is also preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Lee Ralph, two sisters, Anne Ruth Beaty and Evelyn Williams, and one brother, Ralph Adair.
