Holly Webb appointed deputy circuit clerk for Union County
Union County Circuit Clerk Phyllis Stanford has appointed a new deputy circuit clerk in her office.
Holly Webb has been appointed to replace Lauren Hatton, who resigned to take private sector employment.
Webb is a graduate of North Pontotoc High School and attended Itawamba Community College. She was previously employed by a Tupelo law firm.
“We are fortunate to have someone of Holly’s caliber to fill this key position in our office,” said Stanford. “She brings solid experience to the job and is getting up to speed very quickly.”
Mississippi circuit clerks run all elections in the counties from which they are elected. They are also in charge of record keeping and a wide range of other functions for the circuit court justice system.
“Lauren did a great job for us, and I’m very happy Holly Webb has agreed to serve as my new deputy.”
