Jack Elliott to discuss his book about the Ripley Railroad and Col. William C. Falkner

There are still three events left in the Union County Heritage Museums. Come and bring a friend!

On Thursday, at the August Museum Moments, Jack Elliott Jr, will discus his book, The Ramparts of Infinity, Col. Falkner and the Ripley Railroad.

Colonel William C. Falkner (1825–1889), was the great-grandfather William Faulkner. Elliott’s book is the first biography of Falkner since 1961, and includes “A Field Guide to Colonel Falkner’s Ripley,”  which serves to inform the reader about the geographical history of the Ripley area at this time in Mississippi history,

The event is free, and a light lunch will be provided  at 11:30. The museum is located at 114 Cleveland St. in New Albany , MS
