Jacqueline Denise Scott, 57

July 12, 1968 – March 26, 2026

Jacqueline Denise Scott “Jackie” “Nise” was born on July 12, 1968, in Memphis, TN, to the late Cain Moore and Jacqueline Gray Moore.

Jackie confessed her life to Christ at an early age and was a member of Community Temple Holiness Church, Byhalia, MS.

Jackie was a 1986 graduate of Sand Flat High School and received her associate’s degree from Rust College in Early Childhood Education. She was employed as Assistant Director at IPL Christian Academy, Byhalia, MS.  She was an Usher, Secretary, volunteer with Care Now Pantry, and Neighborhood Christian Center.  Her favorite holiday was Easter; she loved her family, decorating, making floral arrangements, sports, and teaching.

Jackie leaves to cherish her memories: husband, Alvin Scott, Sr. of Byhalia, MS; son, Alvin Scott, Jr. of Byhalia, MS; three daughters, Corrandra Scott and Aquila Scott both of Olive Branch, MS and Ayana Scott of Byhalia, MS; two stepmothers, Evelyn Moore of Cordova, TN and Deloris Moore of Waterford, MS; special mother Gracie Seldon of Red Banks, MS;  four brothers, Carl B. Moore (Gloria) of Red Banks, MS, Tyrone Moore (Charlotte) of Holly Springs, MS, Chrishun Moore of Collierville, TN and Jimmie Burks III of Iowa; five sisters, Melissa Riddle (Hubert) of Holly Springs, MS, Crystelle Jones (Christopher) of Cordova, TN, Demetria Allen (Willie) of Indianapolis, IN, Central Moore Burks of Collierville, TN and Jessica Hale of Holly Springs, MS; bonus family, Caleb Turner, Ariel Armstrong, Lauryn Turner, Journei Armstrong and Asher Armstrong, all of Memphis, TN and a host of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.

Jackie was preceded in death by her parents, Cain Moore and Jacqueline Gray Moore; one sister, Candyce Finney.

Visitation will be held 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday, April 3, 2026 at Community Temple Ministries, 1331 Mt. Zion Rd, Byhalia, MS  38611.

Services will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 4, 2026, at Mt. Pisgah C.M.E. Church, 3877 Cayce Rd., Byhalia, MS 38611.

Interment: Community Temple Holiness Church Cemetery, 521 Rabbit Ridge Rd., Red Banks, MS  38661.
