James A. Moore, Jr., 60

James A. Moore, Jr. was born July 19, 1965 in Tupelo, Mississippi to the late James A. Moore, Sr. and Pearlie Mae Jones Miller. He departed this life on March 13, 2026 at North Mississippi Medical Center surrounded by his family.

James attended Tupelo High School and was later employed at IHOP. James was a people person, but he loved his family most of all. He enjoyed cooking and grilling. He loved music and was always the life of the party. James was loved by many and will be dearly missed.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his children: Jennifer Brooks and James Foster of Tupelo, MS; his grandchildren, Trey Brooks, Alexis Brooks, Christian Trice, Braylen Trice, and Jayden Foster; his sisters, Bernadette Jones Moore McAllister (James), Mary Jones Guyton (Donnie), Renae Miller Metcalf (Andrew); his brothers, Ezell Miller and Robert Miller (Rose); a host of nieces that he loved so much, Natasha Moore, Latoria Moore, Liah Moore, Ebony Miller, Jazz Miller, Esha Miller; nephews, Javon Moore, Isaiah McAllister, Ivory Miller, Chris Miller; special aunts, Charlene Springer, Willie Nell Glover (Robert), Savannah Rogers (James), Tonie Vaughn; and a special cousin, James Glover.

James A. Moore, Jr. was preceded in death by his parents, James A. Moore, Sr. and Pearlie M. Jones Miller; grandparents, Rob B. Jones, Catherine Springer, Willie and Mary Kate Moore; great grandparents, Josiah Jones and Mittie Bell Agnew; aunts, Gertrude Jones, Essie Springer, Jeanette Moore; uncle, Timothy Springer; and nephew, Deangelo Miller.

Funeral service will be Saturday, March 21, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Poplar C.M.E. Church, 1017 County Road 681, Saltillo, MS, 38866. Visitation will be one hour before service at 1:00 PM at Poplar C.M.E. Church.
