James Keith Prather, 71 -

Funeral Services for Mr. James Keith Prather, 71, of Ecru, MS who passed away on July 30th, 2022 at his residence. Funeral Services will be at 11 A.M. Thursday August 4th, 2022 at Glenfield Funeral Home Chapel in New Albany, MS. Visitation will be from 9:30 A.M.-11:00 A.M. Interment will be at 2:30 P.M. at Forest Memorial Park in Batesville, MS. Rev. Matt Parker will officiate.

Pallbearers will be Jake Holcomb, Jim Matthews, Joel Matthews, Cole Carruth, Steve Roberson, and Ronnie Good. Honorary Pallbearers are Lee Tallant and Richard Swords

Mr. Prather was a member of Cairo Baptist Church, a Vietnam Veteran who served in the U.S. Army, and a retired employee of Tri State Mack in Memphis, TN.

Mr. Prather is preceded in death by his parents, James Wesley and Daisy Mae Prather.

He is survived by 3 sisters; Myra Hodges of New Albany, MS, Rita Strange of New Albany, MS, and Terri(Ron) Giamis of Sugarland, TX. He is also survived by his brother, Roger(Freda) Rakestraw of New Albany, MS. He is also survived by a special caregiver and niece, Melissa(David) Dillard of Pontotoc, MS and a special honorary granddaughter, Hannah Tallant of Ecru, MS and a host of nieces and nephews.
