Union County Heritage Museum program Saturday highlights Japanese art and culture

The exhibit Japanese Culture: Travel, Picture, Encounter is currently showing at the Union County Heritage Museum.

The exhibit features the artwork of Nobuteru Iwanaka, an artist from Japan now living in Tupelo, as well as several aspects of Japanese culture.

On Saturday, Feb. 27, 11 until 11:30 a.m., the artist will speak at the museum about his travels and artwork.  The museum will host an open reception for this from 11 until 1 p.m.  The public is invited to hear the speaker, enjoy the exhibit and refreshments.

The museum in trying to create a safe environment for the public does daily sanitation, asks that visitors wear masks and practice social distance.   The museum is located at 114 Cleveland Street in New Albany 38652.  For more information call the museum at 662-538-0014.
