Jason Lane Cade Zyla, 3
December 1, 2021 – March 18, 2025
“For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.” Psalm 30:5
Our hearts are shattered today, but it is with the most comfort knowing that our sweet “Lil Man”, Jason Lane Cade Zyla, age 3, has forever been healed, and is enduring all of Heaven’s joy, as he ran into the arms of Jesus on Tuesday March 18, 2025, at the North Mississippi Regional Health Center.
Services remembering the life of Lil man will be 2 PM Tuesday March 25, 2025, in the Heritage Chapel of the Ripley Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 11 AM until service time on Tuesday March 25, 2025, at the Ripley Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the New Hope Cemetery in Tippah County.
One of God’s true miracles, Lil Man was born on December 1, 2021, in Memphis, Tennesse to Jason Zyla and Samantha Lewis. He was a proven fighter, capturing the hearts of everyone that had the privilege of loving him. To meet him was to love him, as he knew how to make any womans heart melt, with his sweet little smile and big, beautiful eyes. Lil Man’s favorite things included Coco melon and teddy bear blues lullabies, giving kisses, or “Sugars”, as his family would call them, watching and listening to the water sprinkler, and licking on tootsie rolls or Lolli pops, that his grandparents would give him. Every night he loved for his mama or daddy to put him to sleep, and every day he looked forward to having someone sing to him.
The loss of little Jason has left a void in the hearts of so many. Our lives will be a little less bright, a little less quiet, and a little harder. Through the blessing of Lil Man’s life, his challenges, his sickness, and his death, the Lord has always remained faithful. In the book of Samuel, when David’s son died, the verse states, “I shall go to him, but he shall not return to me.” Although we were not ready to let him go and cannot bring Lil Man back, the Lord has made a promise to us, assuring we could go to him, and for that we look forward to our great reunion, knowing we are one day closer to Heaven!
In addition to his loving parents, memories will continue to be shared by his three sisters, Breanna Zyla, Autumn Curtiss, and Lindy Zyla, one brother, Zack Zyla, grandparents, Daryle and Linda Hall, and Robie Lewis, aunts, Callie Ritchey (BJ), Melissa Enright (Anthony), and Paul Zyla, his uncle, David Wayne Lewis, Jr., great uncle, John Wilson, and a large circle of great aunts, uncles, cousins, and family.
He is preceded in death by his grandfather, David Lewis.
The family would like to express a special thanks to the staff of Pediatric Health Choice in Tupelo, especially Mary Lynn Boone, and Jessica Miler, and Spring Valley Hospice, along with their church family at Blue Mountain Baptist Church. Every bit of love and care given or prayer that has been prayed has not gone unnoticed.
