Jeff Smith, 57, of New Albany passed away on December 29, 2025 . He was born August 4, 1968 to Roy Lee and Marion Helen Raines Smith. He is survived by his sons, Stephen Smith (Cindy), and William Watson, two daughters, Alexandria and Addyson Smith, three grandchildren, William Dawson Smith, Steven Abel Nutt, and Kinsley Faith Smith, one sister, Sherry Emerick and one brother, Stephen Lee Smith and many other relatives.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Dad, you weren’t perfect—but you were real. You were resilient, genuine, stubborn, quick-witted, and compassionate. You lived life your way, and you loved us your way—and that love was powerful, unconditional, and unmatched.

We will miss your voice, your laugh, your advice, and your presence more than words can say, but we take comfort in knowing that you are at peace, free from pain, and resting after a life well lived.

Until we meet again, we will carry you in our hearts, honor you in our lives, and tell your story to the generations that come after us.

Services to honor Jeff’s life will be on Wednesday December, 31 at United Funeral Service at 2:00pm a visitation will be prior to the service from 12:00 – 2:00. Both at United with burial at Ingomar Cemetery
