Jennifer Laine Perkins, 52
May 10, 1973 – February 5, 2026
Jennifer Laine Perkins, age 52, entered into her Heavenly home on Thursday, February 5, 2026, in Tippah County, surrounded by the love of her family.
Honoring her wishes, Jennifer will be cremated and no formal services are scheduled at this time. She often said, “Don’t ever make a fuss over me,” and those who knew her best understand that she would rather be remembered for her fun-loving spirit, her quick wit, and the laughter she brought into a room.
Born on May 10, 1973, in Memphis, Tennessee, Jennifer was the beloved daughter of the late Ralph and Sara Moffitt Perkins. She attended Lacoste Elementary School in her early years and later graduated from Chalmette High School in Louisiana. A strong-willed and determined woman, Jennifer devoted much of her life to caring for her home and raising her children. Life was not always easy, and she faced her share of obstacles, yet she met them with resilience and an unshakable spirit. Whether working in her yard, tending to her home, or making sure her children were cared for, Jennifer poured herself fully into the people and places she loved.
A Christian in faith, Jennifer spent most of her life in Louisiana before making her way to Mississippi, where she shared a home with her daughter, Casey. The bond between mother and daughter was truly inseparable—a blessing that brought comfort, strength, and countless cherished memories. Becoming “Mamaw” was one of Jennifer’s greatest joys. Her grandbabies were her pride and joy, and she treasured every moment spent with them—laughing, playing, and always finding something fun to get into together.
Outspoken and steadfast in her beliefs, Jennifer was never one to sugarcoat her words. She told it like it was, earning her the loving description of a “firecracker.” Yet beneath that bold exterior was a heart that genuinely cared. She saw the good in people and would help anyone she could, even when it cost her. Though kindness was not always returned in equal measure, Jennifer never stopped trying, never stopped loving, and never stopped giving of herself.
Though she will be missed beyond measure, her family finds peace in knowing exactly where she is today. The kindness she showed, the love she gave, and the strength she displayed on this earth have now been rewarded in her Heavenly home. Her laughter, her honesty, and her unforgettable spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
Those left to cherish her memory include her two daughters, Casey Swinford (Johnathan), and Sabrina McCoy, three sisters, Teresa Janneck, Nikki Sanderson (Floyd), and Erica Busby, two brothers, Robert Perkins (Rachel), and Kevin Perkins (Michelle), her four grandbabies, Skylar, Amara, Haisley, and Ava, her biological mother, Pamela Denham, and her closet friends that she considered a brother and sister, Scott Julian and Tracy Petterson, along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
She was also preceded in death by one brother, David Allen Perkins.
