Jessie Hughes Gamble, 80

January 25, 1945 – June 24, 2025

Jessie Hughes Gamble was the third child born to the loving union of her parents Charlie and Nannie Shannon Hughes in Tupelo, Mississippi on January 25, 1945.



God wanted her back, her earthly life ended and eternal life began on June 24, 2025 at the North Mississippi Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.

She was the widow of James H. Gamble, a beloved homemaker, mom of two children, and a grand mom who enjoyed gardening, cooking, talking on the phone with friends and family, a caregiver from the heart and sewing.

A graduate of George Washington Carver High School.

Preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother, George Hughes two children: Charles Gamble and Brenda Gamble.

Jessie leaving behind to forever cherish her memories his two adult children, one son: James Gamble, Jr. of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Ryan Hughes Gamble of Edna, Texas. One daughter; Kay Gamble (Robert) Whiteside of Chesterville, Mississippi, one sister; Dorothy Hughes of Tupelo, Mississippi, one brother of Sun City, Arizona, Joe (Dottie) Hughes and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
