Jewel Rowan, 93

November 6, 1930  –  July 26, 2024

Jewel Langford Rowan, 93, passed away July 26th, 2024 at Dogwood New Albany Senior Living. She was born November 6th, 1930, in Union County to the late Clyde Langford and Pauline Littlejohn Langford. She was employed at Mohasco Furniture Company for 41 years and was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be Sunday July 28th, 2024. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. with the service beginning at 3:00 p.m. at United Funeral Service in New Albany, Mississippi. Brother Johnny Rakestraw and Brother Don Chandler will be officiating the services.

She is survived by her sister, Helen Moser of Collierville, Tennessee, her brother, Roger Langford of New Albany, Mississippi, and a very special niece, Rhonda Langford Worthy (James Worthy) also of New Albany, Mississippi. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Fleet Edwin Rowan, son Edwin Keith Rowan, and sister-in-law Shirley Duggar Langford.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations may be made to the Hillcrest Baptist Church building fund in her memory.
