TUPELO / NETTLETON – Jimmy Dwayne Hall, U. S. Navy, Retd. (E-6), departed this life from NMMC in Tupelo after a period of declining health. He was 60 years old. Jimmy was born on November 11, 1964, the son of the late Dee Pearson Hall and Edna Maa Rawson, who survives. He grew up in the Nettleton area and graduated from Nettleton High School in 1982. A patriotic American, Jimmy enlisted in the U.S. Navy after high school at Millington Naval Base in Millington, TN. He was honorably discharged after over 20 years’ service. Jimmy served much of his time on the USS Midway and USS Juneau. His service included stations in Guam, Australia, Philippines, Hawaii, and San Diego and he retired in 2008 after serving in Japan. He enjoyed seeing the world through his military service. Jimmy received many commendations for his service to his country. He married Mary Rayman Hall on July 30, 1987 and to this union was born their only child, Jeffrey Todd “Jeff” Hall. Relaxation was his favorite pastime after retirement. He enjoyed watching old movies especially westerns and listening to “old” music as well. His family was very important to him.

Funeral service for Jimmy will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, May 21, 2025 in the Sadie Holland Memorial Chapel at Holland Funeral Directors-Tupelo with full military honors. Burial will follow in Palestine Baptist Church Cemetery north east of Nettleton. Visitation will be from 10 AM-service time Wed. only at the Funeral Home. Jimmy is survived by his wife, Mary Hall of Tupelo; their son, Jeff Hall; his mother, Edna Maa Rawson (Terry) of Tupelo; a half-brother, Mike Fulco and wife Shelia of Nettleton; a nephew, Mark Fulco and great nephew and niece, Murdock and Arabella and other relatives and friends.
