Joe Walice Clark, 75
August 27, 1949 – June 14, 2025
“Shepherd the flock of God that is among you, exercising oversight, not under compulsion, but willingly, as God would have you; not for shameful gain, but eagerly; not domineering over those in your charge, but being examples to the flock.” – 1 Peter 5:2-3
Joe Walice Clark, 75, a life-long resident of Ripley, passed away on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at Tippah County Hospital.
Funeral services honoring the life of Mr. Clark will be held at 2 PM on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, in the Heritage Chapel of Ripley Funeral Home, with Bro. Doc Shelton and Bro. W.C. Alexander officiating. Visitation will take place from 11 AM until time of service on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, in the Heritage Chapel pf Ripley Funeral Home. Burial will follow at New Harmony Cemetery.
Mr. Clark was born August 27, 1949, in Ripley, the son of the late Walice and Mois Aline Brown Clark. He received his education from Pine Gove High School and was employed as a shipping supervisor at Hickory Springs for thirty years before retiring ten years ago.
A robust leader and manager, he will be remembered for his diligent work ethic, sense of humor, and as an exceptional husband, father, and grandfather. He was a dedicated member of New Harmony Church, who had a passion for hunting, fishing, the New York Yankees, and, most importantly, children. Mr. Clark held his Lord in the highest regard, yet his family occupied a very close second place. He will be dearly missed by all that loved and knew him, but we take comfort in knowing that we will see him again one day.
Memories will continue to be shared by his wife of 53 years, Annette Mauney Clark, two sons, Billy Joe Clark (Rachelle) of Caledonia, MS and Brian Clark (Brandy) of Ripley, one sister, Marie Alexander (W.C.) of Ripley, seven grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Robert Clark.
Those honored to be pallbearers are Donnie Alexander, Nolan Clark, Jake Goodman, Billy Jordan, George Lovelace, Guy Mauney, Jacob Nance, Dusty Newby, and Chase Thrasher. Serving as honorary pallbearers are Wade Carmichael and Brandon Thrasher.
Ripley Funeral Home invites you to share memories with the Joe Clark family.
