Belden-Johnnie Lee Robinson, Sr., 73, a good ole fellow, departed this life on Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2025, from Tupelo Health and Rehab on Briar Ridge, where he resided for some time. Born October 4, 1952, in Saltillo to the late Lonnie Robinson and Othea Harris Robinson. Johnnie made a profession of faith at Living Word and Praise Church years ago. He spent his working life being a master detail person for Walker’s Detail Shop. He was as good as they come when it concerning making automobiles shine like new. Johnnie enjoyed fishing, cooking, collecting knives, and having a good time. He could keep everyone laughing with his sharp humor, but was known once and again to be pretty stubborn. He loved his family and finding joy in everything he did.
A prayer service will be at 5 PM, Wednesday, October 22, 2025, in the Sadie Holland Memorial Chapel with Rev. Tony Hereford officiating. Visitation will be from 3 PM – service time on Wednesday only. Private burial will be at Porter Memorial Gardens.
Survivors include his children: Willie Gardner (Jennifer) of Saltillo, Johnnie Robinson, Jr. (Kriesha) of Shannon, Teffanie Green (Thomas) of Belden, and Vahra A. Lolonyo Zuri of Indianapolis, IN; brother, Oscar “Goat” Robinson; sister, Lillie “Jean” Hill; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Joseph “Bo” Robinson; sisters: Louise Lockart, and Dorothy Patterson.
