Jonathan Lee Carroll, age 55, resident of Myrtle, Mississippi, passed away on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at his residence.



Funeral services honoring the life of Jonathan will be held on Friday, January 23, 2026, at 2:00 PM, in the Memory Chapel of New Albany Funeral & Cremation Care, with Bro. Bobby Butler officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 23, 2026, from 11:00 AM until service time in the Memory Chapel of New Albany Funeral and Cremation Care. Burial will follow in Ingomar Cemetery.

Jonathan was born in Union County on January 13, 1971, to the late Earnest Lee Carroll and Barbara Ann Holmes Carroll. He was a 1990 graduate of Myrtle Attendance Center and a faithful member of Union Hill Methodist Church. Jonathan was a former employee of Kevin Charles Furniture and was married to Cynthia V. Carroll, with whom he shared twenty-three years of marriage.

Known as “Lee” to his close friends and family, Jonathan enjoyed fishing, thrifting, and traveling. He loved going out to eat and spending time at family gatherings. Jonathan dearly loved his family, especially his grandchildren. He had a deep love for his church, enjoyed his brothers’ cooking, and was a faithful Christian.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Cynthia Carroll, two daughters, Amber Storms (Joseph) of Greenwood, Mississippi, and Elizabeth Leopard (Ryan) of New Albany, Mississippi, two sisters, Patricia Voyles (Greg) of Saltillo, Mississippi, and Rebecca Rogers of Mantachie, Mississippi, and one brother, Brian Carroll (Beverly) of New Albany, Mississippi.

He is also survived by his grandchildren: Leo and Mila Leopard, Michael Storms, Sophia Burkes, Lyra Maurice, Kye and Waylon Stevens, Dominic and Gabriel Brooks, and Marley Hester, his stepchildren, Priscilla Stevens, Melissa Brooks, William Rayfield, and Jeremy Hester, four sisters-in-law, Becky Thrasher, Vicky Petty, Darlene Whitehead, and Mary Thrasher, two brothers-in-law, Jimmy Thrasher and Everett Thrasher; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Jonathan was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Barbara Kay Chism.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Joe Storms, Remington Carroll, Kaleb Carroll, Greg Voyles, Junior Carroll, Matthew Myrick, Robert Chism, and Levi Cato.
