Joyce Riley, 89

October 12, 1935 – June 15, 2025

Bartlett, TN/formerly of Tupelo-Longtime Tupelo businesswoman, community activist, civic leader, realtor and devoted parishioner of St. James Catholic Church, Joyce Oliver Riley, died on Sunday evening, June 15, 2025 at Ava Maria Retirement Center in Bartlett, TN, where she lived the last year. She was 89 years old. The widow of Jack Riley, who died in 2000, Joyce was a beloved citizen and friend to many. Her contributions to great causes especially Sanctuary Hospice House will long be remembered and appreciated.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 AM Friday, June 20, 2025 at St. James Catholic Church in Tupelo with Father Tim Murphy and Father Henry Shelton as co-celebrants. Burial will follow in Tupelo Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 5 PM-7 PM Thursday at St. James. Holland Funeral Directors-Tupelo will post and provide a full obituary as soon as it is available.
