Karen Denise Billings, 56
December 18, 1969 – October 3, 2026
At the age of 56, Karen Denise Billings, a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo, Mississippi.
Denise lived life with a free spirit, a wonderful sense of humor, and a love of laughter. Throughout her life, she called many different states home, gathering cherished memories, friendships, and experiences along the way.
One of Denise’s greatest passions was her love for dogs. She was actively involved in dog rescue and held a special place in her heart for animals in need. She gave her time, compassion, and love to helping dogs find safety and a second chance. Her kindness toward animals was a beautiful reflection of the caring person she was.
Denise dedicated her professional life to helping others as a disability caseworker for the federal government. Through her work, she served people during times when they needed assistance, compassion, and understanding.
She leaves behind her mother, Darlene Huntington; her sister, Kristi Munlin, and Kristi’s husband, Jason Munlin; her nieces, Taylor Munlin and Katie Munlin Armstrong, along with Katie’s husband, Cade Armstrong; her nephews, Chris Munlin and Jake Munlin; and her soon-to-be great-niece, Lucy Armstrong.
She was preceded in death by her father, Bobby Billings.
Although Denise’s time here ended far too soon, the love she gave to her family and friends, as well as the countless animals whose lives she touched, will continue to live on. She will be remembered for her free spirit, her laughter, her compassion, and the love she so freely gave to those around her.
A private family ceremony will be held in her honor.
