Kenneth Gann, 67
July 4, 1958 – February 19, 2026
Some souls are sent into this world a little different, but perhaps a little closer to the heart of God. When they are called home, Heaven surely rejoices a little louder.
Kenneth Gann, age 67, entered into his heavenly home on Thursday, February 19, 2026, at North Mississippi Regional Center in Oxford, Mississippi.
In keeping with his wishes, Kenneth will be cremated and no services are scheduled at this time. His family sincerely appreciates the prayers, love, and kind thoughts offered during this tender season of loss.
Born on July 4, 1958, at Pontotoc Hospital, Kenneth was the son of the late Lloyd Bryant and Lena Moffet Gann. Born with Down syndrome, Kenneth faced challenges that shaped his life in unique ways. Though he may not have experienced the world as others did, he possessed something many strive for — a gentle spirit and a heart that found joy in life’s simplest blessings. His smile, his quiet contentment, and his sweet presence were gifts to those who truly knew him.
A Christian and faithful member of Crossroads Church of Christ, Kenneth found comfort in his faith. When he was able, he loved being outdoors, where fresh air and sunshine brought him peace. Music was one of his greatest joys. Whether gospel hymns or familiar tunes, he could often be found listening intently, tapping along in his own quiet rhythm. Music allowed him to express happiness in a way words sometimes could not.
Kenneth’s life stands as a quiet testimony — that happiness is not found in accomplishments or possessions, but in a humble heart and a grateful spirit. He taught those around him patience, gentleness, and the beauty of embracing each day as it comes. While our hearts grieve his absence, we rest in the comforting promise that Kenneth has now been made whole and new, free from earthly limitations, walking streets of gold and enjoying the sweet melodies of Heaven in the presence of his Savior, Jesus Christ.
Those left to cherish his precious memory include one sister, Shirley Ann Harris; two brothers, Robert and Bobby Gann; along with a host of loving nieces and nephews who will forever hold him close in their hearts.
In addition to his parents, Kenneth was preceded in death by five sisters, Alpha Gann, Linda Hill, Betty McCain, Judy King, and Janice Churchill; and five brothers, Raymond, Troy, Gene, Tommy, and Johnny Gann.
