Larry Allen Foster, 75
January 1, 1950 – November 2, 2025
Larry Allen Foster, age 75, departed this earthly world and entered into his Heavenly Home on Sunday, November 2, 2025, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in New Albany, Mississippi, surrounded by those who loved him most.
Funeral Services honoring Mr. Larry’s life will be held at 1 PM Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at Hillcrest Baptist Church in New Albany, with visitation from 11 AM until time of service. Burial will follow in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery.
Born on January 1, 1950, in New Albany, Mississippi, Mr. Larry was the son of the late George and Hazel Lamar Foster. A proud 1969 graduate of W. P. Daniel High School, he was a talented athlete and standout pitcher on the baseball team. He went on to attend Northeast Mississippi Community College and later the University of Mississippi, where he pursued studies in Law Enforcement. Eventually, he joined the family business, Foster’s Painting, where he dedicated more than forty years of hard work, skill, and integrity — earning the respect and trust of those he served and worked alongside.
A Christian and faithful member of Hillcrest Baptist Church, Mr. Larry was devoted to his church family, serving as an usher and volunteering wherever he was needed. His quiet strength, humble heart, and willingness to help others made a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. Outside of church, his greatest joy came from spending time outdoors and staying active in the community — whether cheering on his beloved Ole Miss Rebels or umpiring for the New Albany Park Commission, where he inspired countless young athletes and helped shape future generations through his love of the game.
Of all his accomplishments in life, none brought him greater pride or happiness than his family. Mr. Larry was a devoted husband, loving father, and proud grandfather whose heart swelled with joy at every milestone, big or small. His children and grandchildren were his greatest treasures, and he supported them unconditionally, always their biggest fan and most loyal encourager.
Those blessed to know Mr. Larry will remember his steady presence, his warm smile, and his genuine kindness. Though his passing leaves a deep void, it brings peace to know that his earthly journey is complete and he now rests in the everlasting presence of his Savior. His body is healed, his spirit is free, and he has been welcomed Home — where joy never ends and love is eternal.
We will miss him dearly, but we take comfort in knowing he has been made whole again in Heaven.
Memories will continue to be shared by his wife, Mrs. Dianne Cook Foster, two daughters, Shannan Foster Nobriga (Ryan), and Brittney Foster Striplin (Johnny), two sisters, Bonnie Kay Nolan and Theresa Still (Wayne), one sister in law, Susie Foster, and four grandchildren, Michael Travis Long, Oxford Long, Alan McPhail, and Gaven Striplin, along with a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Melanie “Mel” Foster and a brother, Jerry Foster.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be Ryan Nobriga, Jonathan Kent, Bobby Moorman, Johnny Owen, Spencer Holmes, and Eric Jarvis.
