Linda Joyce Kelly, 68

Union Community—Linda Joyce Kelly, 68, passed away February 1, 2023 at the North Mississippi Medical Center. She was born January 18, 1955 in Montgomery, Alabama, the daughter of Walter Gillispie Hall and Lavelle Holloway Hall. Soon after her birth, her family moved to the Union Community where she resided until her death. Soon after graduating from Nettleton High School she began working at Howard Brothers in Tupelo. Linda later worked in the Plantersville School cafeteria for many years and also at Chic-Fil-A. Linda loved animals, especially her little dog, Josie.
Linda leaves behind two children, Jason Kelly and his wife, Dusti, of Greenwood and Michelle Kelly of Nettleton; two grandsons, Brennan and Brighton Kelly; and a sister, Rhonda Love and husband, Doug of Pontotoc.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 23 years, Robert F. Kelly and her grandson, Brayden Kelly.
The family will honor Linda’s memory with a private family gathering. Pegues Funeral Directors has been entrusted with the arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made the Tupelo-Lee Animal Shelter.
