Louise Ann Haire Grant, lovingly known as Louise, passed away on September 26, 2026, at her residence in Union County, Mississippi. She was born on February 12, 1943, in Memphis, Tennessee, and lived a life marked by kindness, grace, and devotion to the people and passions she held dear.
Louise was a Christian woman whose faith was an important part of her life. She was known by those who loved her as loving, kind, and friendly, and she carried those qualities with her in every season of life. Her warm spirit and gentle manner touched many lives, and she will be remembered for the comfort she brought to others through her presence, her words, and her steadfast care.
For 25 years, Louise worked as a real estate agent, a career she truly enjoyed and took pride in. She had a natural eye for beauty and detail, which served her well in her work and in her personal life. She also enjoyed decorating and interior design, and she found joy in creating spaces that were welcoming and attractive. Her interests reflected her personality, as she loved gardening, cooking, sewing, and fashion. These hobbies were more than pastimes to her, as they were expressions of her creativity, her patience, and her appreciation for the finer things in everyday life.
Louise was devoted to her family and treasured the many relationships that enriched her life. She is survived by her husband, Roger Grant; her daughters, Sherry Evans and Teresa Martin and her husband Larry; her sons, Keith Williams, Keith Grant and his wife Christy, and Terry Grant; her brother, Charles Haire and his wife Robin; 14 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind many other loved ones and friends who will cherish her memory. She was preceded in death by her father, James Marcus Haire; her mother, Annie Ola Branch Haire; her grandson, Billy Coe; and her sister, Joyce Marie Watts.
Louise’s life was one of love, family, and quiet strength. She will be remembered for the care she gave, the beauty she created, and the example she set through her faithful and compassionate life. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her, and her memory will be treasured always.
Services to honor Louise’s life will be Tuesday, September 29, 2026, at 3:00 pm at United Funeral Service, with a visitation beginning at 1:00 pm until the time of the service. Dr. Ken Story will officiate. Burial will be at Glenfield Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
