March 13, 1928  –  August 1, 2024

BREWER COMMUNITY – Louise Lawhon, born March 13, 1928, passed away Aug. 1, 2024, at Sanctuary Hospice House. Her family will always be grateful to them for their care and attentiveness to her during the time she was there.

Louise leaves many loving nieces and nephews behind, and a very special community of friends at the Brewer United Methodist Church that enriched her life many, many years.

You never knew what amazing cakes she would surprise people with at the many events she attended and cooked for, she was always generous with her buckets of peanut brittle during the holidays, and she always had a container of turtles on the table that you could “test” if you happened to drop by.

Services will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, at Brewer Methodist Church. Louise will be laid to rest with her parents and other family members at the Verona Cemetery. Holland Funeral Directors is honored to serve the family.

Pallbearers will be Rick Maharrey, Jamie Lindsey, Mike Tate, Tommy Lauderdale, Pete Davis, Gailord Loden.
