Luis Garcia, 36
December 28, 1988 – September 4, 2025
Luis Alonso Garcia, known affectionately as Luis Garcia to his friends and loved ones, passed away on September 4, 2025, in New Albany, MS. Born on December 28, 1988, in Jesus Maria Jalisco, Mexico, Luis brought light and joy into the lives of everyone he met. His generous spirit and creative soul will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Luis’s passion for life was evident from a young age. His journey led him to California, where he pursued his dream of becoming a movie director. His dedication to storytelling was matched only by his commitment to his community. Luis was always ready to lend a hand, especially within the Hispanic community, where he often volunteered his time translating for the police department and assisting anyone in need.
Throughout his life, Luis held various jobs, each of which he approached with enthusiasm and excellence. Most recently, he shined as a bartender, where his outgoing personality and sense of humor made him a favorite among patrons and colleagues alike. Luis’s ability to connect with people was one of his most remarkable qualities, and his presence behind the bar will be deeply missed.
Luis’s love for his family was boundless. He is survived by his parents, Basilio Garcia Magana and Amalia Barajas Perez; his life partner, Juan Gaspar; his best friend, Olivia Patrick; his adopted son, Sebastian Garcia; his four sisters, Maria De Jesus Garcia, Maria Estela Garcia, Teresa Garcia, and Maria Guadalupe Garcia; his four brothers, Jose Garcia, Manuel Garcia, Arturo Garcia, and Roberto Garcia; and his “bonus dad,” Fabian Guzman. Each family member cherishes the memories of the happiness and laughter Luis brought into their lives.
A devout Christian, Luis lived his faith through his actions, showing kindness and compassion to everyone he encountered. His interests were as diverse as his talents. He had an insatiable love for travel, always seeking new adventures and experiences. Luis had a knack for brightening up a room and could effortlessly put a smile on the faces of his friends and loved ones. His generosity was unmatched, often going out of his way to support others in their times of need.
Luis expressed himself through his love for music and the art of tattoos, each one telling a story of his life’s journey. He was the embodiment of generosity, humor, and creativity—qualities that defined his very essence.
