Margie Renick, 88

Margie Perkins Renick, 88, died on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at the Greenhouse in Tupelo. She was born on March 16, 1937 in Oxford, Mississippi. Margie married Delma Renick on June 26, 1956, a marriage of 62 years until his death in 2021. A lovely, respected lady, Margie spent much of her working life as a receptionist at the Tupelo Daily Journal.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2 PM Tuesday, April 1, 2025 at the Tupelo Chapel of Holland Funeral Directors with Dr. Keith Cochran officiating. Private burial will follow in Lee Memorial Park. Visitation will be from Noon – 2 PM on Tuesday at the funeral home.

She is survived by her sons, David Renick (Stella) of Mooreville, MS, Jim Renick (Tammy) of Tupelo, MS, and her daughter, Terri Renick Riley of Tupelo; her brother, Phillip Perkins (Diana) of Lubbock, TX, and her sister, Carolyn Perkins Mize of Oxford, MS; her grandchildren, Seth Martin Renick (Jennifer “Yuki”), Taylor Nicole Riley- Vergara (Sergio); 2 great grandchildren, Waylon Baer and Georgia Mae Renick; several nieces, nephews, cousins and their family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John Perkins and Mamie E. Colton and 3 siblings.
