Martha Langford, 86

New Albany – Martha Earline “Lean” Smith Langford, 86, died on Saturday, February 4, 2023 at her residence. She was born June 12, 1936 in Benton County to Earl and Frankie Weatherly Smith. She was retired from Munsingwear and was a member of Wallerville Baptist Church. She enjoyed word puzzles and really enjoyed traveling when she was able. She will be missed by all who loved her.
Funeral services will be at 2:00p.m. Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at United Funeral Service with Bro. Johnny Rakestraw and Bro. Wayne Cobb officiating. Burial will be at New Harmony Cemetery.
She is survived by her sisters, Dorothy Cobb of New Albany and Ruby James of Midland, TX; a brother, James Smith (Jeweldean) of Hickory Flat; three nieces, Rebecca Leann Cobb of New Albany, Jean Warren of Etta, and Deanna Johnson of Ripley; and three nephews, Thomas Cobb of Sherman, Ray Cobb of Thaxton and Tim Smith of Hickory Flat.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Guy C. Langford.
Pallbearers will be Robert Norwood, Terry Freeman, Bimbi Sloan, Wayne Treadaway, Benji Vanlandingham and Yancy Golden.
Visitation will be on Monday, February 6 from 5:00p.m. until 7:00p.m. at the funeral home.
