Martha Lipford, 84

June 28, 1941 – July 6, 2025

Martha Sue Rowell Lipford, affectionately known as Sue to her friends and family, passed away peacefully on July 6, 2025, at the age of 84. Born on June 28, 1941, in Myrtle, Mississippi, Sue expressed love and kindness to all who knew her. She was cherished by her family, leaving behind fond memories of warmth and smiles.

Sue’s life was one of devotion to friends and loved ones. She is survived by her loving daughter, Michelle Walker and son-in-law, Tommy Walker. Sue was a proud grandmother to three grandchildren, Ashley Stern, Amber Frazier, and Courtney Sutton, who will carry forward her spirit of love. Her six great-grandchildren, Charlie Stern, Emily Stern, Troy Wischoff, Aiden Sutton, Aubrey Frazier, and Gracelyn Sutton, who were a source of joy for her.

Sue was welcomed into the arms of her late husband, Aubrey Lipford, her parents, Carter and Sue Crump Rowell, and reunited with her nine siblings, Irene Whiteside, Ralph Rowell, Ruby Hogue, Charlie Rowell, Mac Rowell, Kay Rowell, Shirley Daughtry, Jessie Rowell, and Jimmy Rowell, who preceded her in death.

Throughout her life, Sue was a diligent and hardworking individual. She dedicated many years to her roles at Sears and Disney, where her work ethic and warm personality made her a favorite among her friends and coworkers alike.

She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, such as doing puzzles, reading, and spending time outdoors. In her younger years, alongside her husband, she enjoyed camping and embracing the beauty of nature. Sue was never happier than when she was tending to her garden or simply spending time in the yard.

The words loving, kind, and friendly are but a glimpse as to who Sue was. She will be missed, but live on in the hearts of all that knew her.
