MANTACHIE – Mary Charles Graham Clark died Thursday, January 16, 2025 at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo. She was 74 years old. She was born in Yazoo City, Mississippi on September 20, 1950 to James Earl Graham and Rebecca Simrall Harris Graham. She lived several places in the Miss. Delta and other parts of Miss before settling in Mantachie in 2015 with her husband, Raymond Kenneth Clark, who survives. They were married in November 2002 in Lake Village, Arkansas. A classy independent woman of many talents, Mary was an “old school” crafter whose hands could make anything. Her mastery skills included quilting, needlepoint, stain glass, paper quilling, crocheting, ceramics and any other crafts. Along the way, she taught others crafts. Mary loved reading all genres of literature. She worked as a secretary and administrative assistant for many industries with her last position at Johnson Equipment (Ayers-Delta) in Greenwood. She was a member of Eupora First Methodist Church.
A celebration of life service will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, January 18, 2025, in the Sadie M. Holland Memorial Chapel at Holland Funeral Directors in Tupelo with her nephew James F. Caffey officiating. Visitation will be from 9 AM to service time. Burial, at a later date will take place at Glenwood Cemetery in Yazoo City. Mary is survived by her husband, Raymond Kenneth Clark; her daughters, Donna K. Tilley (David) of Amory, Becky King Roland of Mantachie, Deanna Slay (Earl) of Scobey, and Donna M. Wiltshire (Taylor) of Winona; grandchildren, Dr. Brandi Torres (Micah), Kris Kent (Rebekah), Zachary Kent, Olivia Dendy, Alaina Winters (Austin), Marlie Sturgis, Sebastian and Dominic Slay; great-grandchildren, Hazel Kent, Doug Kent, Michael McCraw, Wesley Torres, and Emberlynn Kent; her sister, Rebecca Caffey; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Rebecca Graham; and grandson, Stephen McCraw.
Pallbearers will be Kris Kent, Zachary Kent, Sebastian Slay, Dominic Slay, Marlie Sturgis, and David Tilley.
