Mary Frances Fitts Henry, 87

February 6, 1937 – July 12, 2024

Mary Frances Fitts Henry, known affectionately as Frances, passed away peacefully on July 12, 2024, in Tupelo, MS, at the age of 87. Born on February 6, 1937, in Pontotoc County, MS, to Eulus V. Fitts and Rennie Mae Flemings Fitts. Frances was a beacon of love and gentleness to all who knew her.

Services to honor her life will be Monday, July 15, 2024, at 2:00 pm at United Funeral Service, with Bro. Mike Powell officiating. A visitation will be held on Sunday, July 14, 2024, from 4:00 – 7:00 pm and at 12:00 pm until service time on Monday. United Funeral Service is honored to be entrusted with these services.

Frances is survived by her devoted husband, Robert “Bobby” Henry, Jr.; her son, Robert Henry III (Patty); and her daughter, Suzette Henry Miller (Robin); sisters Dorothy Hodges, and Elizabeth Sledge (Glen); her brother Dalton Fitts (Charlene); seven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. Her family was the centerpiece of her life, and she cherished every moment spent with them. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother Joe Fitts.

A woman of many talents, Frances found joy in the simplicity of life. She was an avid homemaker, gardener, a skilled seamstress, a master quilter, and a remarkable cook. Her loving, kind, and gentle nature was evident in the care she put into her hobbies and the warmth she extended to her family and friends.

Frances’s legacy of love and kindness will continue to flourish in the hearts of those she touched. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
