Mary Gardner, 80

February 9, 1946  –  April 17, 2026

Tupelo- Mary Lutricia Rhodes Gardner, age 80, passed away peacefully on April 17, 2026, at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo, MS. She was born on February 9, 1946, to the late Milton and Tawanda Smith Rhodes. She lived in Lee County for 50 years and dedicated many years of her life to working as an office manager at a local oil change shop, where she was known for her reliability, kindness, and strong work ethic. In her free time, she found joy in the simple pleasures of life, especially reading her bible, watching her favorite old television re-runs and taking great pride in having a spotless home with floors you could eat off of.

There will be no public service per the family’s request.

Mary is survived by her loving family, including her son, Danny Giroux (Brandi) of Olive Branch, MS; brother, Rickey Rhodes (Paula) of Holly Springs, Mississippi; her sister, Lisa Inman (Marty) of Oxford, Mississippi; and her cherished grandchildren, Kendall (Sara Jordan), Chase Marley Seawright, and Charli Little, all of Hattiesburg, Mississippi. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Mary will be remembered for her gentle spirit, devotion to her family, and the quiet joy she brought to those around her. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
