Mary Ruth Snider Miller passed away peacefully at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in New Albany, MS, on January 15, 2026, at the age of 97. Born on February 20, 1928, in Pope, MS, Mary was the beloved daughter of the late Robert and Mamie Snider.
Mary will be lovingly remembered by her devoted children, Donna Dove (married to Joe Groover) and Jerry Miller. Her legacy of love will live on through her three grandchildren, Corey Dove (Evie), Devin Dove (Emma Everett), and Kim Miller. Mary was predeceased by her husband, Roy Junior Miller, and her dear grandson, John Miller, and six brothers and two sisters.
An avid gardener, Mary’s flowers and vegetables were not only a source of personal joy but also a means to spread happiness. She generously shared the bounty of her garden with neighbors, friends, and family, fostering a sense of togetherness and community. Her giving nature extended into the kitchen, where she relished in cooking for friends and loved ones, fortifying bonds through the shared comfort of homemade meals. A simple pleasure, like a trip to the grocery store, was transformed into a delightful excursion by Mary’s undeniable enthusiasm for life.
A visitation will be held on Friday, January 23, 2026 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. United Funeral Service is honored to be entrusted with these arrangements.
