NA mayor clarifies order concerning non-essential businesses

New Albany Mayor Tim Kent issued a clarification of an earlier order at noon Monday concerning non-essential businesses.

The order points out that barber shops, salons and gyms are listed as non-essential and cannot have more than 10 persons inside at a time, maintaining six feet social distancing.

Since one cannot cut hair, do salon treatments or personally assist in gym work, this effectively closes those businesses.

If the businesses cannot abide by this they will be ordered to close.
