MDOT changes Tupelo Roadeo date due to weather concerns

MDOT to hold Annual Equipment Operators Roadeo
April 17 in Tupelo

WHO: The Mississippi Department of Transportation (MDOT).

WHAT: The 2019 MDOT Equipment Operators Roadeo season continues on April 17 in Tupelo with the District 1 Roadeo. Roadeos showcase MDOT’s skilled maintenance workforce as they demonstrate knowledge, skills and abilities gained from working on Mississippi’s highways. The annual competitions and training events are a great opportunity to see how MDOT employees maintain and enhance their daily operating skills while ensuring their duties are being performed as safely as possible.

Winners from each District competition will move on to the State Roadeo May 29 in Biloxi.

WHERE: The event will be held at MDOT’s District 1 Headquarters located at 1909 North Gloster Street in Tupelo.

WHEN: Thursday, April 17 beginning at 8 a.m.
