Medicinal plant workshop to be at museum, Oct. 2
A Medicinal Plant Workshop will be held at the Union County Heritage Museum on October 2, 2018. Learn to prepare and use -Herbs, Tinctures, Salves and Teas. The workshop begins at 10 a.m. and ends at 4 p.m. and the cost is $45 and class space is limited. Bring you lunch so the workshop Preregistration and payment are required. Presenter Darryl Patton MA., ND, Master Herbalist, Clinical Hypnotherapist has been hunting, gathering and working with medicinal plants for the past thirty-one years on Lookout Mountain in the Southern Appalachians. Darryl is an ND as well as a Master Herbalist and brings many years of experience to the field of alternative medicine.
Darryl is the author of, “Mountain Medicine, The Herbal Remedies of Tommie Bass,” published by Natural Reader Press and has appeared on Alabama Public Television and the Comedy Channel. Darryl has also been featured in many newspaper and magazine articles relating to the uses of medicinal plants and is in demand nationally as a speaker on alternative medicine. He has lectured in such diverse places as Las Vegas, New York City, Washington, D.C., and Atlanta. He was a guest speaker at the museum in April and is back by many requests to do a hands-on workshop.
